Merchant Onboarding Terms

Digitalsales (SMC-Private) Limited provides a secure and efficient onboarding process for merchants who wish to integrate our payment gateway and API services. The following terms describe the eligibility standards, required documents, integration rules, and operational compliance expectations.

1. Eligibility Criteria

To be onboarded with Digitalsales, merchants must:

  • Be a registered business with SECP or hold valid documentation for sole proprietorship.

  • Possess a valid CNIC of the authorized representative.

  • Maintain a business bank account under the correct business title.

  • Offer lawful products or services in accordance with Pakistani regulations.

  • Not engage in prohibited categories such as gambling, narcotics, unregulated forex trading, or adult content.

2. Required Documentation

During onboarding, merchants must provide the following documents:

  • SECP registration certificate or acceptable business proof.

  • CNIC of the business owner or director.

  • Bank account maintenance certificate matching the business title.

  • Official company letterhead.

  • Proof of address (utility bill or tenancy agreement).

  • Website URL or sample list of products/services.

Digitalsales may request additional documents depending on business type or risk assessment.

3. Technical Integration Guidelines

  • API credentials, sandbox information, and documentation will be issued once the application is approved.

  • All integrations must adhere to Digitalsales token standards, webhook rules, and security practices.

  • API keys must be protected at all times; sharing or misuse may lead to suspension.

  • Merchants are expected to complete integration within 14 days unless an extension is approved.

4. Operational Responsibilities

  • Merchants are responsible for customer support, delivery obligations, and refund procedures.

  • All merchant policies must comply with Digitalsales platform guidelines.

  • Digitalsales reserves the right to audit merchant operations for quality, risk, and compliance.

  • Settlement timelines (such as T+1 working day) will be defined during onboarding.

5. Suspension and Termination

Merchant access may be suspended or terminated under the following conditions:

  • Evidence of fraudulent or illegal activity, or misuse of services.

  • Excessive disputes or chargeback ratios.

  • Failure to maintain updated and valid documentation.

  • Breach of technical or operational requirements.

  • Legal or regulatory directives requiring immediate action.

These terms may be updated periodically, and merchants will be notified through email or platform alerts.
